Our private beach is nothing short of magnificent. It's what Cape Cod is truly all about. Warm...Sandy...SAFE swimming in waters that are known the world over for their cleanliness and beauty. Although our area is fenced to ensure your privacy, it is possible to pass through and walk for miles along the beaches.
Dennis, named the All American Town in 1978, is located in the middle of the Cape and remains small and delightful to visit. All Cape attractions are easily accessible from Ocean Vista's central location with tennis and golf courses only minutes away. The first Summer Theater in America, The Cape Playhouse, is just down the street, as well as scores of antique shops, fine clothing stores, art galleries, superb restaurants, a marine aquarium & park, harbors with boat launching, rental & charter facilities.
There are three fine restaurants, an ice cream parlor and a miniature golf course within walking distance of Ocean Vista On The Beach. We have two PGA certified golf courses, plus public and private tennis within three miles. The Cape Cod bike trail (a lovely 21 mile trail along salt marshes,lakes, ponds, cranberry bog and sand dunes) starts in Dennis. Tobey Farm (oldest family farm on cape cod) is two miles away. The Johnny Kelly Recreation Area, named after the famous Boston Marathoner who makes his home in this "All American Town Of Dennis" is only five miles away. This recreation area has a life course, jogging trail, basketball and handball courts along with baseball, softball and soccer fields.

This northside beach is a bit unusual in that the water, usually thought to be colder than the southside, is actually warm.
"The beach is clean and wide and the water is clear," notes Bob. The warmth of the water is due to the warming effect of the sun on the tidal flats. The hot sun on the sand warms the water as the tide comes in.
Bob has owned Ocean Vista on the Beach since 1977. It is a family oriented complex of 13 units located right on the beach.
"If you step off your deck, you're in the sand, seconds from the ocean." Says Bob.
"My sons and I completed an extensive remodeling this year," he adds. "We think we now have the sharpest appearing resort complex on Cape Cod Bay."
The easy living at Ocean Vista on the Beach is a far cry from Bob's pre-retirement vocation. Bob has seen many of the worlds finest beaches as a naval flight officer for 26 years.
After flying 313 missions in the Phantom F-4 aircraft during the Vietnam War, Bob was assigned as Commander of the Navy's Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape School in Maine.
While he was in Maine, Bob tried his hand at vacation rentals.
"We operated cabins on Moosehead Lake in Maine and I liked it," says Bob. "In the long run, we wanted some place where the season was longer than Maine." They chose Cape Cod.
"We're centrally located on the Cape," says Bob. "We have a nice sandy beach and beautiful sunsets. There's always a fresh breeze right off the water. There are fewer crowds and less traffic congestion on the north side of the Cape versus the south side which is much more commercial. Each Cape town or village has it's historic area on the north side"
"All five of my children have worked here from time to time," he continues. "Two of my sons (Aaron and Jay), along with Debbie, Kelly, Bill and grandchildren Ryan, Kaycee, and Jason work here now."
"We are strictly family run and operated," he adds. "We're small enough that I know 80% of our guests on a first name basis and most of the kids. People love it here. We have a repeat rate of more than 70%."
